Alice Smith

Alice Louise Smith Turner, 78 of Falls Church, Virginia entered her heavenly home on September 9, 2023. She was born on July 24, 1945, in McLean, Virginia the daughter of the late Lawrence “Sam” Bailey and Pearl Wooden Bailey. 

As a young adult Alice spent time in Culpeper, Virginia where she met her former spouse Lewis B. Smith Jr. She was blessed with her only child, her daughter Victoria “Vicky” Smith. She was the proud grandma to her four grandchildren Adrian, Jerell, Torey and Russell with 9 great-grandchildren and more on the way.

Alice was also preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Maxwell (Max)Turner of Falls Church, Virginia. She was so loved by her three brothers Lawrence (deceased) Charles and Jerry Bailey. Also, by her niece Jackie Warner Hunt, many extended family members and friends.

Alice was self-employed with a Housecleaning business that she ran for many years in the Northern Virginia area. With great love for whom she worked for; Alice built life-long friendships with Virginia Peters aka Mom (45 years) Jim and Nancy Scott (sister).

Alice Louise shared her smiles and laughter freely with everyone. To know her funny unpredictable personality you could not help but love her she was a beautiful loving caring lady who was love by so many and will be greatly missed but long remembered!

Funeral services will be held at Horizon Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Visitation starts at 6:00 PM and Funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM

Alice will be interned Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at The Quantico National Cemetery - 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172
