Georgia Ann Settle

Georgia Ann Moore Marr Settle, 68, of Culpeper was called home to rest with the Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2024 with her family by her side. Georgia was born in Marshall, Virginia on February 22, 1956, to the late William R. Moore and Anna B. Elam.

In addition to her mom, she will be sadly and forever missed by her companion of over 30 years Michael Atkins, her daughter; Shellina Marr (Jason) of Culpeper Va, 4 grandchildren; Aleysha Walker, Sakira Marr, Jonasia Marr, and Jai’Cere Washington of Culpeper Va, 3 sisters; Pam Nichols of Winchester Va, Carolyn “Susie” Corbin of Madison Va, and Sandra K. Moore Nichols of Winchester Va, two brothers; Ronald Moore Sr of Culpeper Va, and Gary Moore (Lois) of Indiana, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many more extended family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Teresa Marr, son Christopher Settle and brother Gregory Moore.

Georgia had a heart of gold and would do anything she could to help others. She loved everyone around her that entered her life like they were her own, and she never let anyone go unnoticed or unloved. She loved to work and play bingo up until a couple of years ago when her health declined and she was no longer able to do those things. Her favorite things to do to pass time became shopping, watching her lifetime movies, playing games on her ipad and spending time with friends and family (especially her grand-kids).

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Horizon Funeral Home - 750 Old Brandy Road, Culpeper, VA.  Family Visitation starting at 11:00 AM and Funeral Service starting at 12:00 PM.
