Leroy Donnell Brown, Jr

Leroy Donnell Brown, 51, Of Orange, VA, departed this life for his eternal home on Thursday, August 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by his Father Leroy Brown Sr. Leroy was educated in the Orange County Public Schools, later received his GED. He began his career in construction later in life. Leroy cherished spending time with family and friends, enjoying good food, and attending many cookouts. He was especially fond of his sister Shean’s potato salad and was known for cracking jokes, making people laugh. Leroy showed love and Kindness to everyone, particularly his grandbabies. He was also passionate about music and his favorite football team the Redskins (Commanders). Leroy’s favorite color was burgundy, and he took great pride in his appearance, always dressing impeccably in fresh clothes and shoes. He was a man who valued cleanliness and always presented himself with dignity.

Leroy leaves to cherish his loving memories, his Daughters; Rakiya Brown; Dorian MCcauley (Brandon Calloway), all of Charlottesville, VA., Mother; Shirley Gentry of Charlottesville, VA. Leroy also leaves to cherish his loving memories of his loving Grandchildren; Bella Brown, Skylar Brown; Laila Calloway, Lola Calloway; Zoey Calloway all of Charlottesville, VA. He also leaves his loving Sisters; Shean Brown of Spotsylvania, VA., Tracey Brown of Charlottesville, VA, Stepsister Angela Brown of Orange, VA. Leroy shared a deep and meaningful bond with his significant other, Debra Harrison (Debbie) of Dumfries, VA. She stood faithfully by his side through life’s joys and challenges, offering him unwavering love and support. To Leroy, Debbie was more than a girlfriend, she was his partner, his companion, and a true blessing in his life. Their love was steady,
devoted, and genuine.

In addition, he also leaves behind his Nieces; Deshaunna Johnson, Brianna Brown Shaprecia Wells, Shania Washington, Endia Smith; Nephews; Shamon Brown, Kerron Smith;
Great Nephews; Styles Stitt, Derek Shelton; Damari Green; Brayden Leroy Shelton, Great Niece; Gizelle Shelton, Ra’mya Bolden; In addition, he also leaves behind a special uncle Charlie Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins and other family, and friends. Leory (AKA Kizzy) will be greatly missed. He leaves many to cherish his memories with one special cousin which both became brotherly throughout life Kevin Lewis, they were always together no matter what when you seen, one you seen the other, a bond that will forever
inspire and uplift.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 A.M at Horizon Chapel - 750 Old Brandy Road, Culpeper, VA 22701.  The Burial will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 1:30 P.M in the MT. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery - 21227 Lahore Road, Orange, VA 22960
