Ms. Pearl Elizabeth Long of Culpeper, Virginia peacefully departed this life on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Culpeper Health & Rehab Center. She was born April 15, 1936, to the Late John D. Hackley and Margaret Long in Rixeyville, Virginia.
Pearl was educated in the G. W. Carver School in Culpeper County. She was a presser at Apparmasters Cleaners for many years. She was a private duty nurse for many years until her health begin to fail.
Pearl had a lot of love to share, she raised her own children in addition to raising her sisters’ children; Robert Long (deceased), Barbara Lewis (Russell), Pearl R. Long, Sammy Long and Clyde Long.
She is preceded in death by her infant twins, her parents, 2 brothers, Walter Long Sr. & John Hackley, 1 sister, Zula Mae Long.
She is survived by her devoted children; daughter; Annette Shelton (Lyndell) of Gum Spring, VA; sons Faron H. Lee and James Lee Jr. of Culpeper; 8 grandchildren; Faron Lee Jr. (Celeste), Rafael Avila, Marcus Lee (Michelle), Nicky DeRosa (Flavio), Chris Pullen, James Essex (Danica), Quintin Lee & Jhaylinn Avila; 14 great grandchildren: 5 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves two special friends: Alsace Lekwai & Norma Holt plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
