Sally Dodson

Sally Ann Simms Dodson passed away the early morning of November 6th, 2024. She was born August 15th, 1959 as the only child of parents Lucio Edward Simms and Mary Catherine Simms. She was a very unique person in a multitude of ways. She would never get angry even in the most trying of times, she was an extremely sweet and caring individual and she never complained. Due to her sweet and caring nature, she was loved by so many people.

She was a fighter and stayed strong through every battle that she dealt with in her life and was an extremely hard working and generous person. She always knew how to make you smile and laugh when times were tough, she was definitely one of a kind!

She leaves behind her husband of over thirty-six years, Thomas Dodson, and one son, Cameron Dodson. Sally fought cancer for the last eight years of her life but never lost her faith in God and never gave up hope. She truly was an angel to her family and friends and will most certainly be missed.

Funeral service will be held at Horizon Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14, 2024 starting at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place in the Saint Stevens Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral service.
