Tomika Gentry

Tomika Nicole Gentry, 41, of Orange, Virginia was born on  August 11, 1983, in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late  Sylvester and Mavis Gentry. She entered eternal rest on December 2, 2024, at  University of Virginia Hospital.

Tomika was educated in Orange County School System. She received her High School Diploma from Orange  County High School in 2002. Following her graduation, Tomika held various   positions, notably a thirteen-year tenure  at Shenandoah Crossing in Gordonsville,  Virginia, where she thrived in a Customer-Facing role. Tomika’s career concluded at the Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia until illness prevented her from working. Tomika prioritized spending quality time with her family and friends. She dedicated herself to her father’s care, ensuring his needs were met, as she maintained a close loving relationship with her  mother and   daughter. Tomika was  a  die-hard Washington Commanders Fan. She greatly enjoyed listening to   her music, especially her oldies.

Tomika was preceded in death by her mother Mavis Dorene Gentry, her father Sylvester Isaiah Gentry.  Her Paternal Grandparents Isaiah Gentry and Maternal Grandparents William Jackson, and Esther Wilkins Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her one and only daughter  Constance Renne Gentry (Martae) Covington VA, her four  brothers, Jeffrey Waugh (Jennifer) Alexandra VA, Antwan Jackson, West Virginia, Sylvester Gentry (Lexi) Fauquier County VA, and Sheron Gentry Clifton Forge VA. One  Sister Audrey Scott Charlottesville VA. Her grandmother Augusta Gentry of   Rhoadesville VA. She also leaves to cherish her memory five nieces and two nephews. Natavia, Koriona, DeVonte, Lincoln, Shiasia, Cyair, and Kianna. two great nieces, and two great nephews  Ganon,   Airyanna, A’ja And Jackson. Three Uncles Charles Gentry, Earl Gentry and William Jackson, Jr., three Aunts, Alice White, Hattie Ellis, and Kim Gentry. And her two best friends Angie Lamb, Angie Lindsay, and a host of great Aunts, great Uncle, cousins, and friends. Her first   beautiful and blessed grandchild is expected   February 17, 2025

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Horizon Chapel - 750 Old Brandy Road Culpeper, VA. 22701.  Family and Friends Visitation will be begin at 11:00 A.M. with the Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 P.M.  A Repast will immediately following the funeral service.  After the repast the Funeral Procession will leave Horizon Funeral Home for the burial in the Washington Family Cemetery - 8015 Blackwalnut Run Road, Rhoadesville, VA 22542
