Vergie Marie Pendleton departed this glorious life on February 14, 2025. Vergie was born February 28, 1959, in Amissiville, Virginia to loving parents; Will and Kate Pendleton.
While everyone knew her as Vergie, she was lovingly and affectionately known as Mama,grandma and aunt V.
Vergie graduated from Rappahannock HighSchool in 1979. She was a faithful, loving,proud mother to her three sons; Dwayne,Wayne and Josh and daughter Ebony. She was also a loving grand-mother to her beautiful grandchildren.
Vergie enjoyed employment with several corporations. She was a committed and dedicated employee with Petco Heating & Oil Company in Manassas, VA., the Safeway Company in
Reston VA. and the KinderCare Academy in Reston, VA. She loved working with children, and the children adored and loved her.
Vergie will always be remembered for her infectious laughter, he beautiful smile, her warm embraces, her heartfelt generosity, and her positive outlook on life.
Vergie were preceded in death by her loving parents; Will and Kate Pendleton, one sister Sherry, four brothers James, Ervin, Randall and Eugene
Vergie leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, three devoted and wonderful sons; Dwayne (Renee), Wayne, and Josh Pendleton, a loving daughter Ebony, six Siblings Evelyn, Eunice Pendleton, Katie James (Bernard), Jerry (Tabitha), Greg (Veronica) and Melvin. She also leaves to cherish her memory, thirteen wonderful grandchildren; Davon, Alayah, Dwayne Jr., Josh Jr., Savenia, Jawon, Antwan, Ryan, Kaycion, Khanif, Royalty, Cynara, Cydeja, five Aunts; Katie Ferguson, Genevieve Johnson, Mary E, Groves, Pearl Groves, Mary Groves, also her children’s father
Wayne Brooks and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Vergie also leaves behind a very special and close loving friend, Frank McCray
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Horizon Funeral Chapel - 750 Old Brandy Road, Culpeper, VA 22701. Family and friends visitation will start at 11:00 AM and the Funeral Service will start at 11:30 AM. The Interment will take place in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery - 705 Viewtown Road, Amissville, VA 20106.
