Not sure why I was drawn to come check out the website. Mr. Johnson helped my family so much when our mother passed away in October 2020. I was in so much pain mentally and physically but spiritually my mom taught me at a young age to understand this process. Still didn't ease the pain or the confusion on where to even start. Mr. Johnson is definitely a blessing! My mom didn't have insurance and he worked with us to see this through and the right way. Mr. Johnson and my family pastor til this day fills my heart with so much joy for this very reason and I truly am appreciative and thankful for that kind of service.

The Horizon family performed funeral services for my family on two occasions within an eight month span. Mr. Johnson took the stress out of planning the funerals. He handled the affairs with extreme professionalism making the process stress free.
I took the opportunity to compare My comparison included a complete funeral package including the use of his facilities to hold the service. Dollar for dollar, the fees were comparable. However, the personal touches and the additional services Horizon offers that the other's do not make Horizon's the better choice.
To sum up, Mr. Johnson and the staff at Horizon offers quality services that blow his competitors out of the water. Other funeral homes in the area cannot be compared to Horizon.

On May 26,2012, our mother passed away somewhat unexpectedly. It was the saddest day of our lives but a time of outpouring love, heartfelt emotions and overwhelming support. The support that was most notable and felt immediately came from Horizon Funeral Home and its staff... Mr. Johnson was standing by to deal with hospital-related administrative and medical issues. He showed tremendous kindness and understanding at a time when we needed it the most. He and the Horizon team were dedicated professionals throughout the entire process. In addition to the excellent support, Horizon worked with our family to give our mom the type of farewell that you could be proud of while working within an affordable budget. We owe a debt of gratitude to the Horizon staff and the Johnson family for the high caliber of support/guidance and genuine kindness and love shown to our family. On behalf of the Beales family, I would like to thank Mr. Johnny and Horizon Funeral Home for their service to my father. When Dad found out he had terminal cancer, he began the search for someone of integrity to take care of him. Two things were key in his decision to use Horizon: the value offered for the price and, more importantly, his assessment of Mr. Johnson's character. It may be unusual for someone to become friends with their funeral director, but Dad was never one to worry about appearances. He was much impressed with Mr. Johnson's honesty, integrity, service to our country, and clear pride in a job well done. Dad's trust was well placed; everyone there was warm, caring, compassionate, respectful, and very, very good at their jobs. Every aspect was handled with care - from the program, to the photo tribute, the Family Night event and the many funeral details. Losing our mother was devastating and the thought of having to contact someone to ask them to do her hair was just another thing we dreaded having to do. While discussing the arrangements we found that we would have to make little to no calls after leaving Horizon Funeral Home; Mr. Johnson took care of everything! He already had someone in place that he works with on a regular basis to take care of doing our mother's hair. My family & I were extremely impressed by how beautiful & natural our mom looked and we were amazed that it appeared as if her hands were freshly manicured. We received so many compliments on how beautiful mom and the service was. Although this was one of the most difficult times in our lives the professionalism, care and concern of Mr. Johnson and his staff made a world of difference. Everything that Mr. Johnson said he would do he did and the entire experience (although difficult ) was beyond expectation from start to finish.

Horizon Funeral Home was new to our area when my brother died; Upon many discussions as to what funeral home to choose we decided to give Mr. Johnson a chance. My family was very pleased with the professional and caring services Horizon provided. We could tell that this is more than just a business to Mr. Johnson; He not only gives top quality services, but does his job with pride and consideration for the families he help. Mr. Johnson and his family treated my fathers death as though he had known my family for many years. We had a hard time finding a funeral home who fit the financial need and moral support that we were looking for, and once we spoke with Mr. Johnson we knew we had found the right place for my family to say our last good byes to my father.
